Leaderboard & Fair-Play Rules

Bitcoinia is a free arcade game. There is no prize and no money involved — the only thing on the line is your place on the global leaderboard. These rules keep that board honest.

How the leaderboard works

Rankings are based on total steps across completed levels — lower is better. You must collect every sat on a level to complete it. Boards run on rolling windows: daily, weekly, and all-time, so there is always a fresh top spot to chase.

Compete for the top spot

The weekly and all-time boards are pure bragging rights. Climb the rankings, beat the best lines, and take #1. That is the whole game — no purchase, no prize, no catch.

Anti-cheat verification

Every submitted run is re-simulated server-side from its recorded seed and input log. Runs that are forged, replayed, automated, tampered, or otherwise implausible are rejected. We reserve the right to audit any account and to remove or re-rank scores when fair play cannot be verified.

What gets a run disqualified

• Automation, scripting, or botting any part of a run.
• Replaying, splicing, or forging an input log or seed.
• Exploiting the API, the client, or a bug to post an impossible score.
• Using a handle that is offensive, impersonating, or infringing.

Handles

Pick a handle that is not offensive, impersonating, or infringing. We filter submissions and may remove or rename handles at our discretion.

Disputes

All anti-cheat and ranking decisions are final. To raise a question, reach us via @bitcoinia with your handle and run details.

Changes

We may update these rules; material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date. Continued play constitutes acceptance. See also our Terms and Privacy Policy.
